As a Healthcare Project Manager, this individual will play a pivotal role in leading complex healthcare projects from initial planning and programming through construction administration. They will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, and ensure design solutions align with operational goals, regulatory requirements, and budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead healthcare projects through all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall project performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Facilitate programming sessions, user group meetings, and client presentations.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, interior designers, and specialty consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee the preparation and quality control of construction documents and technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with FGI Guidelines, ADA standards, life safety requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Monitor project financial performance, including fee management, scope control, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site visits and participate in construction meetings to address project challenges and maintain quality standards.
- Mentor and support junior team members while fostering a collaborative project environment.
- Contribute to business development efforts through client relationship management, proposal support, and industry engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect (RA) required.
- 8+ years of architectural experience with a significant focus on healthcare projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical office buildings, outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and specialty healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare planning principles, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard design and project management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
