Overview

An established architecture and design firm is seeking a licensed Architect to join its Education (PK-12) practice. This individual will contribute to the planning, design, documentation, and delivery of K-12 educational facilities while collaborating closely with project managers, designers, consultants, and clients throughout all phases of the design process.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, design, graphic, and visualization skills and demonstrate the ability to coordinate technical and design teams to successfully execute projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of each project's design vision and building performance objectives.
  • Contribute to technical design, design development, project coordination, and quality control efforts throughout all project phases.
  • Research and develop creative design solutions that support project goals and client needs.
  • Coordinate with consultants and project stakeholders to ensure integrated and cohesive project deliverables.
  • Assist in the preparation of design documentation and construction documents.
  • Support the production of schematic design, design development, and construction document packages.
  • Stay current with evolving building technologies, systems, and industry best practices.
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, and project documentation for design compliance.
  • Perform construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field coordination.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project-related business development activities.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Licensed Architect required.
  • Experience in educational, institutional, or K-12 projects preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and coordinating project teams.
  • Strong design, graphic communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience leading client meetings and coordinating with consultants.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Experience preparing construction documents and providing construction administration services.
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • LEED, WELL, or other sustainability credentials preferred.
