A leading heavy civil and water infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the successful execution of water and wastewater construction projects throughout the Naples and Fort Myers region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a field leader with a strong background managing complex municipal infrastructure projects including water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, lift stations, underground utilities, and related infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
- Manage subcontractors, craft labor, equipment, materials, and daily field operations.
- Coordinate work with project managers, owners, engineers, and inspectors.
- Maintain project schedules and drive production goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, quality control standards, and contract requirements.
- Conduct daily planning meetings and coordinate manpower needs.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to keep projects on schedule.
- Lead site safety efforts and maintain OSHA compliance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil or water/wastewater projects.
- Proven experience building or rehabilitating:
- Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
- Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
- Pump Stations
- Lift Stations
- Underground Utility Systems
- Strong understanding of concrete structures, mechanical installations, process piping, and site development.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Experience managing subcontractors and self-perform crews.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- OSHA certification preferred.

- Municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Large-diameter piping installations.
- Process piping and equipment installation.
- SCADA, instrumentation, or facility upgrades.
- Public works construction experience.
