About Our Client

Our client is a well-established engineering and EPC organisation specialising in industrial water, wastewater, desalination and process treatment solutions across Asia. With a growing project pipeline and expanding technical team, they are looking for an experienced engineering leader to strengthen their design and project execution capabilities.


The Role

Reporting into the Engineering leadership team, you will provide technical leadership across process and mechanical disciplines while supporting the delivery of complex water treatment projects from concept through commissioning.

This position will play a key role in reviewing engineering deliverables, guiding designers and engineers, supporting client discussions, and ensuring technical excellence across multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Process, Mechanical Engineers and Designers.
  • Provide technical leadership across water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Review process calculations, equipment sizing and engineering deliverables.
  • Review and validate PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations and technical specifications.
  • Support equipment selection including pumps, blowers, vessels, filtration and treatment systems.
  • Participate in technical clarification meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Provide engineering guidance during proposal, design, procurement and project execution phases.
  • Coordinate closely with electrical, instrumentation and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support process optimisation, troubleshooting and value engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards and project requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience within water, wastewater, industrial treatment or EPC environments.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment systems and process engineering principles.
  • Experience reviewing process and mechanical engineering designs.
  • Familiarity with pumps, blowers, pressure vessels, piping systems and associated treatment equipment.
  • Comfortable leading engineering reviews and client-facing technical discussions.
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
