Live Event Account Executive (Corporate Events) - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Events Sales Executive to generate new business across the live events, corporate meetings and event-production market.

This is a true hunter position for someone who enjoys identifying prospects, opening doors and converting new relationships into long-term revenue. The successful candidate will sell full-service event-production and technical solutions to corporate organisations, associations, experiential agencies, meeting planners and other event-industry partners.

This is not a traditional account-management role. You will be expected to create your own pipeline, originate new opportunities and manage the commercial process from the first conversation through proposal, negotiation and close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop net-new corporate event opportunities
  • Build a self-generated pipeline through prospecting, referrals, networking and industry relationships
  • Develop relationships with corporate event teams, meeting planners, associations, experiential agencies and production partners
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand each client's event objectives, technical requirements, budget and challenges
  • Sell tailored live-event and production solutions rather than transactional equipment packages
  • Collaborate with production, technical, creative and operations teams to develop commercially competitive solutions
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, scopes of work and event budgets
  • Respond to RFPs and lead client presentations
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and contracts
  • Maintain ownership of opportunities throughout the full sales cycle
  • Build accurate sales forecasts and maintain pipeline activity within the company's CRM
  • Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
  • Support a smooth handover from sales to production while remaining engaged throughout delivery
  • Develop long-term relationships that lead to repeat events, referrals and multi-year programmes
  • Meet or exceed agreed new-business and revenue targets

Required Experience

  • Proven experience selling corporate events, live-event production, AV, event technology or related services
  • A clear track record of winning net-new customers
  • Evidence of personally generating pipeline and revenue
  • Experience managing the complete sales cycle
  • Strong relationships within the corporate meetings and events industry
  • Experience selling complex, high-value event solutions
  • Ability to develop and present detailed event proposals and budgets
  • Understanding of corporate conferences, general sessions, breakout programmes, product launches, leadership meetings and experiential events
  • Strong commercial communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both senior clients and technical production teams
  • Experience using CRM platforms to manage pipeline, activity and forecasting
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits and events

Relevant Technical Knowledge

Candidates should be comfortable discussing solutions involving:

  • Audio
  • Video and projection
  • LED displays
  • Lighting
  • Staging and scenic
  • Rigging
  • General-session production
  • Breakout-room AV
  • Presentation management
  • Livestreaming and hybrid events
  • Digital signage
  • Recording and content capture
  • Technical labour
  • Show-site support

Candidates do not need to be technicians, but they must understand event production well enough to identify client requirements, develop credible solutions and work effectively with technical teams.

What We Are Looking For

The right person will be:

  • A proactive and persistent new-business hunter
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with new prospects
  • Motivated by opening accounts and creating opportunities
  • Commercially ambitious and results-driven
  • Credible with senior corporate decision-makers
  • Consultative rather than transactional
  • Highly organised and accountable
  • Comfortable managing long and complex sales cycles
  • Collaborative with production and operations teams
  • Able to build trust quickly and maintain long-term relationships
  • Confident presenting complex event solutions and budgets

Ideal Client Relationships

Existing relationships within any of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Independent meeting planners

  • Conference organisers

  • Hotels, venues and convention centres
  • Trade-show and exhibition organisations

Success in This Role

Success will be measured through:

  • Net-new customers acquired
  • Self-generated pipeline
  • New-business revenue
  • Proposal and conversion activity
  • Account profitability
  • Repeat business from newly acquired clients
  • Multi-event and multi-year agreements
  • Quality and accuracy of forecasting
  • Strength of relationships developed across the market
