Architectural Designer II / Architect II

Location: Denver, Colorado
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000+ DOE

About the Role

Our client is seeking an Architectural Designer II / Architect II to join their growing Denver team. This individual will play a key role in the design and delivery of multifamily residential projects, collaborating closely with project managers, architects, consultants, and clients throughout various project phases.

This opportunity is ideal for a design-focused professional who is passionate about multifamily housing and has strong technical production skills, particularly in Archicad.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, design, and documentation of multifamily residential projects.
  • Prepare design presentations, schematic designs, construction documents, and detailing packages.
  • Develop and maintain project models using Archicad.
  • Coordinate project requirements with consultants and internal project team members.
  • Assist with zoning reviews, building code research, and project permitting.
  • Participate in client meetings, project coordination meetings, and consultant reviews.
  • Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations.
  • Collaborate with senior architects and project managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 4-8 years of architectural experience, preferably focused on multifamily residential projects.
  • Proficiency in Archicad is required.
  • Experience producing construction documents and coordinating consultant drawings.
  • Strong understanding of building construction, detailing, and applicable building codes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
  • Experience working on large-scale multifamily, mixed-use, podium, wrap, or garden-style residential projects.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and rendering software.
  • Experience navigating entitlement, permitting, and construction administration processes.
