Our client is seeking an organized, strategic, and collaborative Interior Design Project Manager to lead corporate interior projects from concept through construction. This individual will serve as a key client contact, oversee project teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an effective communicator, and passionate about creating environments that align with clients' business goals and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate interior design projects from inception through completion
- Coordinate project activities with internal teams, consultants, clients, and contractors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop project scopes, fee proposals, budgets, and schedules
- Lead all phases of the design process, including:
- Project initiation
- Programming
- Schematic design
- Design development
- Construction documentation
- Construction administration
- Monitor project performance to ensure quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved
- Manage and coordinate consultant teams
- Prioritize and adjust workloads to meet project deadlines and client expectations
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from straightforward renovations to complex interior environments
- Participate in business development activities, client presentations, and interviews
- Maintain the project's design vision throughout all phases
- Identify potential project challenges and proactively implement solutions
- Foster clear communication and collaboration among project team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in interior design, architecture, or related industry
- At least 2 years of project management experience
- Experience working with corporate workplace clients required
- Strong client service and relationship management skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- NCIDQ Certification preferred
