Our client, a respected regional consulting firm, is expanding the leadership within their survey department and is seeking an experienced Professional Land Surveyor to join our client's team in Vermont or New Hampshire. This permanent role offers the opportunity to take ownership of significant survey projects, guide a growing group of survey professionals, and play a key part in shaping our client's continued success across Vermont and New Hampshire.
Role Overview
You will lead survey projects from conception through completion, provide technical expertise, and manage both people and resources to deliver accurate, timely land surveying services for a variety of engineering and transportation-related assignments.
Key Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with 5+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing people and projects in a survey or related environment.
Skills & Experience
- Land Survey: Proven ability to plan, execute, and review boundary, topographic, and construction surveys with precision.
- Surveyor Expertise: Strong command of survey methodologies, instruments, and data analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Engineering Collaboration: Experience coordinating closely with engineering teams to integrate survey data into design and development projects.
- Transportation Projects: Background working on transportation-related surveys, supporting roadway, bridge, or infrastructure improvements.
- Regional Knowledge (Vermont & New Hampshire): Familiarity with local regulations, land-use practices, and surveying standards across these states.
- Leadership & Project Management: Ability to direct project teams, oversee schedules and budgets, and mentor junior staff.
