Regional Water Resources Business Leader
An international engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Regional Water Resources Business Leader to spearhead business growth and client development efforts across Texas from its Dallas office.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an established water resources professional with a strong industry network and a proven track record of winning work. The successful candidate will help shape regional growth strategy, expand key client relationships, and position the firm for major water infrastructure, drainage, stormwater, flood mitigation, and resilience projects throughout Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional business development and growth initiatives for the Water Resources practice.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand market share across Texas.
- Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, counties, water districts, transportation agencies, and private-sector clients.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities, major programs, and long-term contracts.
- Partner with technical leaders to develop winning pursuit strategies and client engagement plans.
- Support proposal development, interviews, contract negotiations, and key presentations.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, professional organizations, and networking events.
- Track market trends, capital improvement programs, and upcoming procurements.
- Mentor and support project managers, seller-doers, and emerging leaders within the practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- PE license preferred.
- 12+ years of experience within water resources, stormwater, drainage, floodplain management, or water infrastructure consulting.
- Demonstrated success developing and maintaining executive-level client relationships.
- Strong network throughout Texas, particularly within municipal and public-sector markets.
- Experience winning and managing large infrastructure pursuits.
- Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple offices and technical disciplines.
