Senior Civil Engineer - Hydropower / Dams

What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects related to water resources, ecological restoration, and energy infrastructure.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, construction documents, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Serve as a project engineer or task lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring technical quality and project success.
- Participate in field investigations, site assessments, design development, and construction support activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of project teams.
- Work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Support project management efforts involving scope, schedule, budget, and resource coordination.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience leading engineering design efforts and coordinating project delivery.
- Strong background in civil site design, land development, roadway and drainage design, stream restoration, dam-related projects, or similar infrastructure work.
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, earthwork modeling, corridors, profiles, and site development design.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical quality, mentor team members, and collaborate across disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
- Project management experience with increasing responsibility.
- Knowledge of construction specifications, cost estimating, and construction documentation.
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SRH-2D, HydroCAD, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and Autodesk Revit.
- Experience supporting water resource, renewable energy, ecosystem restoration, or environmental infrastructure projects.
