The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for...
- Leading HVAC system design for new construction, renovation, and expansion projects
- Performing load calculations, equipment selection, and mechanical system evaluations
- Preparing design documents, specifications, technical reports, and engineering studies
- Conducting existing building assessments and HVAC system surveys
- Coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Ensuring code compliance and design quality through QA/QC reviews
- Providing construction administration support throughout project delivery
- Mentoring junior engineers and designers
- Leading project teams and serving as a primary client contact
- Supporting business development, proposal efforts, and client relationship management
The Senior Mechanical Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical focus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8+ years of HVAC and mechanical systems design experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building codes, and industry standards
- Experience with load calculation and energy modeling software
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, leadership, and project coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams
- Experience with high-rise, healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, science & technology, or data center projects
- Client-facing experience and business development involvement
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering staff
