About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer/Project Manager to support and lead complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical projects that improve water reliability, wastewater systems, and long-term community resilience throughout the Southwest.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction.
- Oversee the design of:
- Water transmission and distribution pipelines
- Wastewater collection systems
- Pump stations
- Reservoirs and storage facilities
- Rehabilitation and improvement projects
- Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and quality standards.
- Direct multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior staff.
- Coordinate and manage subconsultants.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with municipalities, utilities, and public agencies.
- Serve as a technical leader within the organization and industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 15+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects through planning, design, and construction.
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Water treatment facilities
- Wastewater treatment facilities
- Water transmission and distribution systems
- Wastewater collection systems
- Pump stations
- Pipeline rehabilitation projects
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Extensive design and construction phase experience.
- Active participation in professional organizations and industry associations.
