Sr. Water/Wastewater Engineer
An established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex municipal infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to manage projects, mentor engineers, contribute to business development efforts, and play a key role in the continued expansion of a growing water practice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and client expectations.
- Provide technical leadership and design oversight on a range of municipal projects.
- Support business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement.
- Participate in project interviews and help secure new work.
- Oversee project execution to ensure quality, profitability, and successful outcomes.
- Support construction phase services including contractor coordination, bid reviews, and technical interpretation.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through comity.
- 15+ years of experience within the water and wastewater sector.
- Strong background in the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Experience with facilities, transmission systems, pumping stations, force mains, storage facilities, and collection systems.
- Proven project management experience with responsibility for budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Passion for mentoring and developing younger engineers.
