Transmission Line Project Manager

Overview:
A well-established infrastructure and energy services firm is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of high-voltage transmission projects. This role involves managing all phases-from development through construction and closeout-while ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of transmission line projects, including siting, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Coordinate communication between project sites, offices, and clients to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Drive project schedules, manage scope, and maintain accurate cost forecasts and accruals.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, policies, and control systems.
  • Monitor construction progress and report regularly on cost, schedule, procurement, safety, and environmental metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, escalating to senior leadership as needed.
  • Travel to project sites within a 1-3 hour radius as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing high-voltage transmission line or substation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the construction phase of utility-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of transmission line and/or substation systems and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards.
