Project Manager - Data Center Construction

About the Opportunity

We are currently partnering with a leading mechanical contractor delivering large-scale mission-critical projects across the United States. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a major data center project in Ohio.

This role is ideal for a construction professional with experience managing mechanical scopes on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction while collaborating with industry-leading clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, and resource allocation.
• Maintain responsibility for project financial performance, forecasting, and cost control.
• Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field operations teams.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project status and milestones.
• Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and procurement logs.
• Support site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitor labor productivity and project performance metrics.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while developing recovery plans where necessary.
• Foster strong client relationships and identify opportunities for future work.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within mechanical construction.
• Experience managing HVAC, plumbing, piping, or mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site in Ohio.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.

Preferred Experience

• Data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or large industrial project experience.
• Mechanical contractor background preferred.
• Experience managing projects valued at $10M+.
• Understanding of commissioning and turnover processes in mission-critical environments.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $120,000 - $170,000+ depending on experience.
