The Associate Director of Scheduling and Delay Analysis will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex construction projects' scheduling and delay analysis aspects. This role involves collaborating closely with clients, legal teams, and project stakeholders to provide accurate and insightful analysis, reports, and expert testimony in matters related to construction claims, dispute resolution, and litigation support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage scheduling and delay analysis projects, ensuring the accurate assessment of project delays and impacts.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project details, objectives, and challenges, and provide expert guidance on scheduling and delay-related matters.
- Develop and implement scheduling strategies to prevent, mitigate, and manage delays during the construction lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project schedules, baseline schedules, progress reports, and other relevant documents to assess project delays and deviations.
- Prepare comprehensive delay analysis reports, utilizing industry-standard methodologies and software tools.
- Collaborate with legal teams, architects, engineers, and other experts to provide a holistic approach to construction claims and disputes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in scheduling, delay analysis, and construction claims.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members in developing their skills in scheduling and delay analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in scheduling and delay analysis within the construction industry.
- Strong expertise in industry-standard scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Proven experience with construction claims, dispute resolution, and litigation support.
- Excellent understanding of construction contracts, project management principles, and legal frameworks related to delays and disputes.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Previous experience in providing expert testimony is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional), PMP (Project Management Professional), or similar, are a plus.
