My client, a leading Audio Visual (AV) Integration company based in New York, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Audio Visual Project Management to lead our project management team. Job Description: As the Director of Audio Visual Project Management ], you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful execution of AV integration projects from inception to completion. You will lead a team of project managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the project management team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of complex AV integration projects, overseeing project managers and project coordinators.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Management:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing project management team.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and ensure effective communication with clients to manage expectations and address concerns.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify opportunities for upselling and delivering additional value to clients.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that AV systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify system functionality and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on AV integration projects.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of AV technology, equipment, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX) and related software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
