Position: Mechanical/Electrical Engineer Location: Middletown, Connecticut
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical/electrical systems, components, and products for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical specifications to determine optimal engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful MEP project execution.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support throughout the MEP project lifecycle, from concept development to construction and beyond.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance MEP designs and processes to improve performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into MEP projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on design and construction projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in MEP design and construction.
- Ability to manage multiple MEP projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
