Our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction with proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: paving, grading, utility work, structural, or heavy highway. The foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the construction site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors on-site.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Interpret and execute construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Monitor work progress and provide daily reports to the project manager.
- Maintain quality control to ensure all work meets project specifications and standards.
- Manage site logistics, including equipment, materials, and labor.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Train and mentor crew members to promote a skilled and efficient workforce.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction.
- Proven experience as a foreman in at least one of the following areas: paving, grading, utility work, structural, or heavy highway.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
