Position: Heavy Civil Chief Estimator
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000
Are you an experienced and highly skilled Estimator with a passion for civil construction projects? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join one of Georgia's top heavy civil construction companies as Chief Estimator. As a key player in their growing organization, you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to the success of their pipeline projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the estimation process for civil construction projects, with a specific focus on civil site construction and underground utility projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather project details and requirements.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Conduct thorough material take-offs and quantify labor requirements.
- Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify potential risks and challenges in project estimation.
- Prepare and present detailed estimates, including breakdowns of costs and project timelines.
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and construction methods to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating civil construction projects.
- Specialized expertise in estimating earthwork and underground utility projects is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully estimating and securing projects in a competitive market.
- Proficiency in HCSS and Agtek is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project estimation.
- Thorough understanding of industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
