We are currently partnered with a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture firm in the Greater Portland area. They are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join one of their Oregon offices. In this role, you will be responsible for leading structural design projects from conception to completion while also providing mentorship to junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, extensive project management experience, and a passion for nurturing talent within our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead structural engineering projects, including analysis, design, and construction oversight.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural solutions into overall project designs.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Oregon.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Preference for candidates with experience in seismic retrofit for existing structures.
- Proven track record of successful project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and develop junior engineers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
