Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer with 6-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing water and wastewater projects to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of services to our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Design and Management:
Develop detailed designs for water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution, and collection networks.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure project goals are met.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafting personnel.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Review and approve design documents, plans, and specifications.
Client Interaction and Support:
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support business development efforts.
Construction Support:
Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and project plans.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control checks.
Resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
Sustainability and Innovation:
Promote sustainable engineering practices and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
6-10 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering engineering projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD).
Strong understanding of hydraulic modeling, process design, and treatment technologies.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Professional Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Certifications in water/wastewater treatment (e.g., WEF, AWWA) are a plus.
