Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy sector with a strong focus on solar energy solutions. As a part of their continued growth, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operation Director to lead the site, office, and technical team and drive the successful execution of solar energy projects in Taiwan.
Role Overview: As the Operation Director, you will play a crucial role in leading the construction team during the construction phase of solar energy projects. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the timely delivery of projects with robust engineering solutions while optimizing costs. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and controlling budgets, dealing with local subcontractors, and identifying and mitigating technical and economic risks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the team throughout the development, and construction phase, ensuring the successful implementation of solar energy projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered with robust engineering solutions, striving for the lowest possible cost.
- Work closely with the business development team, providing technical support to develop cost-efficient energy solutions that prioritize safety by design.
- Manage and control budgets and costs associated with solar energy projects to ensure financial targets are met.
- Cultivate relationships with local subcontractors and utilize negotiation skills to optimize costs and project outcomes.
- Identify technical and economic risks associated with solar energy projects and actively contribute to the development of risk management plans.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of being proactive, a team player, and possessing a positive attitude while demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Previous experience in MNC solar companies will be considered a strong advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy technology and industry trends, with a focus on cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team to achieve project objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders and teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
