Job Title: Senior Hydraulic Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our team in Perth. The Senior Hydraulic Engineer will be responsible for providing expert advice on all aspects of hydraulic engineering and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. This role requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills to assess risks, develop strategies, and provide effective solutions for various projects. The Senior Hydraulic Engineer must also possess exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, project teams, and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Produce architectural plans, engineering designs, and construction drawings.
- Provide expertise and guidance on complex hydraulic projects
- Provide technical advice to architects, engineers, and project teams.
- Carry out and monitor inspection/test of hydraulic components/systems.
- Follow necessary safety regulations, applicable work instructions, operating procedures, method statements.
- Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to deliver successful solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field.
- 5+ years' proven experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards, including but not limited to the Building Code Australia (BCA).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to assess complex challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, project teams, and regulatory authorities.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) will be advantageous.
