A continually growing Architecture & Design firm is seeking Principal Architects. The firm is focused on high-level, quality projects within Healthcare, Higher Education, and S&T. The ideal candidate will have at least 12-15 years of industry experience and will have a proven track record of design excellence, team leadership, project management, and business development. The role will serve one of three studios which require relevant project knowledge and familiarity of the Indiana/Midwestern market.
The Principal Architect will be responsible for:
- Working with senior support staff and design team to achieve client goals through clear communication and coordination of teams, contractors, and consultants
- Developing business within your market, aiding revenue and reputation growth
- Mentoring junior staff
- Acting as a lead contact and resource for clients on all project issues
- Managing the financial and contractual obligations of projects, meeting budgets, scheduling requirements, and program objectives while satisfying client goals
- Ensuring consistent project quality and delivery
The Principal Architect should have the following qualifications and abilities:
- At least 12 years of design leadership experience within:
- Healthcare, Healthcare Planning, S&T, or Higher Education
- Registered Architect (NCARB preferred)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or closely related field, MBA also valued
- Must possess design, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Have a sense of ownership and accountability
- Experienced in designing and mentoring within programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and/or Sketchup
