Position Overview:
As the Principal Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the design, planning, and execution of a variety of civil engineering projects. You will provide technical expertise, project management leadership, and mentor-ship to a team of engineers and support staff. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our projects, client relationships, and the growth of the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor-ship to a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct engineering analysis, prepare design documents, and review technical reports.
- Participate in business development activities, client meetings, and proposal preparation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in project management and design.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering successful projects.
