Product Application & Marketing Manager - Water Systems

Position Purpose
The primary purpose of the position is to grow sales by providing knowledgeable technical solutions. The position works closely with other members of the team, manufacturers' representatives, and water treatment partners. The role requires strong communication skills, technical presentation skills, the ability to manage a diverse workload, and an understanding of water treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and accurate technical responses to representative sales team
- Conduct technical PowerPoint presentations to customers
- Be a part of the training classes for our new and existing representatives and water treatment partners
- Validate equipment orders and submittal information for technical accuracy
- Articulate technology innovations and product offerings to internal and external customers including representatives and water treatment partners
- Advise sales representatives on the selection and application of chemical, hybrid and non-chemical treatment systems for evaporative cooling systems.
- Assist in the creation of marketing brochures, engineering bulletins and technical papers
- Establish and cultivate relationships with customers, representatives, and water treatment partners
- Serve as product expert being able to solve routine product/systems issues
- Evaluate needs of the customer and provide technical solutions that best fit the company's product portfolio
- Work with software development team to test selection software programs for QA purposes
- Contact and meet with customers to discuss all aspects of our product offerings
- Train and support field water service providers for commissioning and on-going operation of their water systems
- Meet or exceed company margin goals
- Travel 5 to 20% of time (varies seasonally)
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Chemistry, Engineering, or another technical field
- 4+ years of field water treatment sales and service experience
- Ability to read technical drawings, schedules, and specifications
- Strong communication, negotiation, and water treatment skills
