Job Description:
Position Overview: As a Project Engineer in the IT security equipment and systems industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT security projects for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical experts, and project managers, to provide end-to-end project support and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Participate in project planning meetings to understand client requirements and objectives.
- Assist in creating project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
- Implement IT security solutions, including the installation and configuration of security equipment and systems.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical support for IT security equipment, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and encryption solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during project implementation.
- Ensure that security solutions are compliant with industry standards and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, and status reports.
- Generate project reports and communicate progress to project managers and stakeholders.
- Ensure all project-related documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and address any concerns or questions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients during project implementation.
- Foster positive client relationships by delivering high-quality service.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks on security equipment and systems.
- Ensure that all solutions are secure, reliable, and meet client expectations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electronic, Computer, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in security and/or electronic system project implementation and commissioning, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT security principles, practices, and technologies.
- Past experience with Lenel, Cisco, and S2 systems is an advantage
- Familiarity with security access control, video surveillance, and alarm system products and systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting security equipment and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
