Applicants should have a degree in Construction Management or Engineering; a minimum of 5 years office and 5 years of field experience; experience bidding jobs throughout Massachusetts; and experience with utilities, heavy civil construction and all aspects of site work.
Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Project, Primavera, ConstructionLink and Excel are a plus. Applicants should have the flexibility to cover possible weekend work.
In this position you will be expected to:
- Responsible for multiple bids for all trades
- Price change orders
- Read and understand drawings
- Attend and lead all project meetings
- Track all submittals
- Provide document support for all monthly requisitions
- Work with accounting to approve all invoices
- Sign all invoices
- Ensure all jobs are on schedule
- Update and review schedules monthly
- Responsible along with safety department to ensure linkage to job
- Job costing and scheduling
And/or depending on your personal capabilities:
- Review all documents, drawings, pricing
- Obtain bonds, insurance and minority reporting
- Bid all jobs, all pricing, all scopes
- Scope reviews with general contractors
- Package together with project manager for kick-off meeting once project is awarded
- Assist Project Manager, if needed, with full close out of projects
- Estimate 1 - 2 jobs per week
