We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a strong drive for sales and business development in the solar industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy market landscape. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar industry, including commercial and industrial projects, utility-scale installations, and government initiatives.
- Build and manage a high-performing sales team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to maximize individual and collective performance.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, investors, government officials, and industry partners.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, agreements, and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and marketing, to deliver integrated solutions and enhance customer value.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and thought leadership.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a focus on the solar industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
- Deep understanding of investment logic and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) concepts.
- Experience in negotiating complex contracts and agreements with diverse stakeholders.
- International business exposure and familiarity with the Southeast Asian market preferred.
