Position Available: Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager
As a key contributor to our vision, you will be involved in diverse projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. These projects encompass significant treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and pivotal water reuse initiatives aimed at establishing sustainable and resilient water supplies globally.
- Execute engineering work across various fields within the Infrastructure Practice, such as pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.
- Engage in engineering designs, report preparation, plan development, specification creation, and cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, along with permitting and alternative analysis.
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables; undertake data entry and analysis, and work through the construction phase on projects.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on projects of medium to large sizes of moderately complex nature.
- Assume responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Direct several subordinate supervisors or team leaders and train and monitor internal staff.
- Act independently and make authoritative decisions on technical matters.
- Develop significant relationships with new and existing clients and have responsibility for client maintenance.
- Support the firm's relationships with client management personnel.
- Identify and direct sub-consultants performing services on projects.
- Active participation in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, membership in technical committees, and holding positions in local or national organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 15+ years of water and wastewater experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least five years of project management experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large-sized water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
- Experience includes water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, pipeline rehabilitation projects, and pump stations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Design and construction phase experience.
