We are partnered with an established engineering consultancy who are currently seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer for their office in Austin. They are currently dominating the renewable markets along the East Coast and Texas and have been a key part of the introduction of large solar farms across these locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including soil testing, site assessments, and analysis for renewable energy projects.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, geotechnical designs, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders to provide expert geotechnical advice and recommendations.
- Oversee fieldwork and coordinate with subcontractors and laboratories to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Contribute to business development efforts by providing technical expertise and supporting proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Experience with project management and client relations.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to renewable energy projects.
- Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings as needed.
