The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in traffic analysis and Synchro, and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. Knowledge of MDOT standards is required. Having a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct traffic analysis and modeling using Synchro.
- Prepare traffic impact studies and reports.
- Develop traffic signal timing plans and phasing diagrams.
- Design and implement traffic control plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; PTOE desired.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in traffic analysis.
- Expertise in Synchro for traffic analysis and optimization.
- Strong background in water distribution systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
