I recently started working with one of the leading integrated solar and energy storage companies in the US at the moment. They develop and own solar and storage projects. They offer Asset Management Services and Operations & Maintenance Services for owned and third-party assets. They are currently looking for a Solar Field Service Technician role to oversee and maintain their projects in Illinois.
Primary Responsibilities of Solar Field Service Technician:
- Conduct on-site routine maintenance
- Carry out any service work that arises and or troubleshooting
- DC and AC testing
- Polarity
- Open Circuit Voltage
- Grounding Continuity
- Communication
- Insulation Resistance Testing
- I-V Curve Tracing
- Keeping up with vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock
- Create service reports
- Identify any potential job site hazards
- Create operating and major issue/downtime reports
Solar Field Service Technician Minimum Qualifications:
- NABCEP Certified
- Minimum of 2 years, conducting PV Maintenance, which includes DC and AC operations, medium voltage
- Strong understanding of SCADA, DAS, and UPS systems
