We have a current opportunity for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer on a permanent basis. The position is fully remote flexible for those that have their P.E. License - for those without a P.E. license, hybrid flexibility is offered in the following cities: Houston, TX / Dallas, TX / New Orleans, LA / Orangeburg, SC / Tampa, FL / West Palm Beach, FL / Minneapolis, MN / Portland, OR / Kennewick, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in developing civil-structural drawings for substations (including foundations, structural steel, bus, and cable), adhering to national codes, industry standards, and best practices.
- Identification, analysis, and resolution of engineering and technical issues.
- Take on project leadership roles by delegating tasks to engineers and technicians.
- Preparation of comprehensive, timely, and precise technical documentation, including reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches.
- Oversight of deliverables and schedules, and proposing solutions to clients.
- Upholding a positive and professional image of the company, while fostering and nurturing relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- PE or EIT Registration highly preferred
- 5+ years experience of civil/structural experience
- Ideally looking for engineers that have had direct substation or transmission civil/structural design experience
- Knowledge of engineering standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, ANSI
- Valid Driver's License
