We have a current opportunity for a Sr. Structural Engineer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in NYC.
Responsibilities:
Oversee new construction, renovation, and development projects across all stages; Support Project Managers in a diverse project setting; Conduct structural analysis on various building systems and innovative design concepts. Design structures for renovations, restorations, and new buildings; Coordinate structural design aspects with architectural and MEP plans; Generate CAD drawings for approved designs to aid in bidding and permitting; Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits during construction; Manage and coordinate projects, including monitoring budgets and tracking changes.
Requirements:
- Possess at least 5 years of applicable experience in structural design and analysis for mid to high-rise buildings.
- Ideally, possess a Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Ideally, possess a P.E. license.
- Demonstrate prior professional experience in structural layout design for various building and framing types, as well as lateral resisting structural elements.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in steel and concrete design, as well as structural modifications.
- Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, RISA 3D, RAM, and ETABS.
- Display effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of thriving independently in a dynamic environment.
