A prominent engineering firm is seeking candidates for the position of Entry Level Structural Engineer in their expanding Portland office. The successful candidate will contribute to various projects by providing structural engineering calculations and drawings across different project types and materials. Collaboration with architects and other disciplines will be key in ensuring the technical delivery of structural engineering documents. The position offers an opportunity to engage with local building jurisdictions to facilitate obtaining building permits and to support the firm's growth in the Portland area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- EIT license is preferred.
- Proficiency in software including RISA 3D, Microsoft Excel, SAFE, ETABS, Bluebeam, Ram Structural Systems, and Enercalc.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with BIM tools, particularly REVIT Structural.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
- Directly communicate with clients and building officials.
- Assist in preparing design development and construction documents.
- Generate and interpret data from 3D structural analysis models.
- Collaborate with senior staff to achieve client objectives and contribute to the firm's standards and technical knowledge.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to support projects.
