Hiring: Surveyor (Cadastral / Engineering / Construction)
We are working closely with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy with expertise in land development. Due to recent project success, the company is expanding and looking to bring on board an experienced Surveyor to their team. They have worked closely with both the public and private sectors across Tasmania and built their expertise in land development projects over the past 50+ Years. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surveys to establish precise property boundaries, road/rail/ pipeline corridor surveys, digital terrain modelling, topographical features, and relevant data.
- Utilize advanced surveying tools and technology, including total stations, GPS, and CAD software, to collect and analyze data.
- Collaborate with engineers, town planners, and project managers to provide essential surveying support and align data with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports, maps, and drawings based on survey findings.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the safe execution of surveying activities on construction sites and various project locations.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
The ideal candidate would have:
- 5+ years as a Surveyor in Australia, preferably in a professional capacity or through relevant internships.
- Strong knowledge of modern surveying techniques, equipment, and software (e.g., total stations, GPS, GIS, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with Tasmanian laws, regulations, and standards related to land development.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and precision.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
