Transmission System Operator needed in Tucker, GA!
My client is a leading energy company located in Tucker, Georgia. We are looking for an experienced Transmission System Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
As the Transmission System Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the Energy Control System to detect station overload. Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with NERC reliability standards
- Coordinate switching operations
- Monitor transmission system performance
- Respond promptly during emergencies
Qualifications/ Skills required:
- Minimum of six (6) years' experience working as a transmission operator.
- Must be NERC certified or receive certification within one year of hire. The required certification must be TO, BIT or RC. Specialized Skills: AC/DC theory, blueprint reading, and excel/MS Word experience required. Must have sound decision making ability under stressful conditions.
-Must be able to communicate effectively. Unusual Hours Required of this Position: Work a rotating shift, which involves working weekends and holidays; some vacations and sick leave coverage.
-Utilizes multiple CRTs continuously. Must handle multiple tasks
