Job Description:
As a Transportation Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing transportation projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize potential issues.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects meet quality standards and adhere to relevant industry regulations.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance.
Schedule Adherence: Manage project timelines and milestones to ensure on-time project delivery.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel and equipment, to optimize project outcomes.
Problem-Solving: Address challenges and obstacles that may arise during project execution, finding effective solutions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and approvals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Registered Professional Engineer in New Mexico
- Proven experience as a Transportation Project Manager with a track record of successfully managing transportation projects.
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
