My client is looking for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with a minimum of 4 years experience ideally holding a P.E. License. This role involves planning, designing, and performing analysis on water and wastewater engineering projects, including water mains, sanitary mains, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses strong writing skills, and works well in a team environment.
Primary Duties:
- Perform hydraulic calculations and layout structures.
- Collaborate on producing correspondence, reports, and biddable documents for water distribution systems, wastewater conveyance systems, treatment plants, potable wells, water storage tanks, and water and sanitary pumping stations.
- Provide engineering support to the inspection department.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Proactively identify problems/issues, perform detailed analysis, and develop effective resolutions.
- Work on a team to produce regulatory permitting applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- P.E. License preferred
- Ability to clearly and concisely express thoughts verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrates effort and pride in all work assignments.
- Willing to seek guidance to expedite deliverable dates.
- Capable of working on both group and individual assignments simultaneously.
- Effective communication, management, and writing skills.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- AutoCAD capability is a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
