Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician
Are you a skilled Building Automation Technician looking to work on cutting-edge commercial, healthcare, data center, industrial, and institutional projects?
Our client is a growing Building Automation Systems contractor seeking experienced BAS Technicians to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service of building controls systems across a variety of high-profile facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and troubleshoot BAS/DDC control systems
- Perform controller programming, graphics modifications, and database updates
- Commission HVAC control systems and verify sequences of operation
- Diagnose communication, network, and field device issues
- Work with project managers, engineers, and end users to deliver successful projects
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide technical support and training to customers as needed
Requirements
- Experience working with Building Automation, Energy Management, or DDC systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control strategies
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
- Experience troubleshooting controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication networks
- Familiarity with one or more BAS platforms such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, or similar
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to customer sites
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commissioning or startup activities
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or other building automation protocols
- Technical degree, trade certification, or relevant industry training
- Experience supporting mission-critical facilities, healthcare, higher education, or large commercial buildings
