Are you an experienced Distech Programmer looking for a fully remote opportunity with a growing Building Automation Systems organization?
Our client is seeking a skilled controls professional to support the programming, integration, and commissioning of Distech-based building automation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of commercial, healthcare, higher education, industrial, and mission-critical facilities while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Program and configure Distech controllers and building automation systems
- Develop and modify graphics, databases, alarms, trends, and schedules
- Create and implement sequences of operation based on project requirements
- Support system integration using BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols
- Troubleshoot programming, network, and system performance issues
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians throughout project execution
- Review project documentation, points lists, and control drawings
- Provide remote startup, commissioning, and technical support to customers and field teams
Requirements
- Proven experience programming Distech Controls systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and building automation principles
- Experience working with Niagara, EC-Net, or related platforms
- Ability to develop graphics, databases, and controller applications
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, IP networking, and system integration
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, control schematics, and sequences of operation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large commercial, healthcare, higher education, life sciences, or data center projects
- Familiarity with commissioning and startup activities
- Niagara certification or other industry certifications
- Exposure to multiple BAS platforms and integrations
- Experience supporting field teams remotely
