Are you an experienced SCADA professional looking to play a key role in some of the largest and most advanced data center projects in North America?
We're partnered with a rapidly growing engineering and technology organization that is supporting hyperscale and mission-critical data center developments across the United States. As demand continues to increase, they're seeking a Lead SCADA Engineer with strong Ignition experience to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-level SCADA systems supporting critical infrastructure environments.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of SCADA solutions for mission-critical data center environments.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Ignition SCADA platforms.
- Develop SCADA architecture, graphics, alarming strategies, historian configurations, and reporting solutions.
- Integrate PLCs, RTUs, meters, EPMS, BMS, and other critical infrastructure systems into a centralized SCADA environment.
- Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, operations, and client stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Review and approve technical documentation, functional design specifications, and commissioning plans.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and system commissioning activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams.
- Assist with standards development and drive consistency across multiple projects.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 7+ years of experience in SCADA engineering, automation, or industrial controls.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation).
- Experience developing SCADA applications for mission-critical, industrial, utility, or data center facilities.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including:
- Modbus TCP/IP
- BACnet
- OPC UA
- DNP3 (preferred)
- Experience integrating PLC platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or similar.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and system architecture.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and project stakeholders.
Preferred
- Data center experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise facilities.
- Experience with EPMS, power monitoring, electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, or critical power infrastructure.
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
- Previous experience leading engineering teams or large-scale automation projects.
