Salary Range: $115,000 - $150,000 per year (based on experience)

Position Overview

A leading mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager responsible for managing HVAC installation and mechanical construction projects from planning through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to company quality and safety standards while coordinating with field crews, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.

The HVAC Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing project scheduling, budgeting, and communication between office and field teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Plan and coordinate HVAC installation projects from initiation to completion

• Develop project schedules, timelines, and labor plans

• Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, and installation crews

• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met

Project Execution

• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients throughout project lifecycles

• Oversee field operations to ensure installations meet specifications and quality standards

• Identify and resolve project challenges or field issues

• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers

Budget & Cost Management

• Develop and manage project budgets

• Track job costs including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses

• Review job cost reports and maintain project profitability

• Approve purchase orders and manage project expenditures

Client & Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and clients

• Provide regular project updates and progress reports to clients and leadership teams

• Coordinate project meetings and site walkthroughs

• Address client concerns and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and reports

• Ensure work complies with building codes, company policies, and safety regulations

• Assist with project closeout, inspections, and final documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred

• 5+ years of HVAC or mechanical construction project management experience

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, and mechanical installations

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings

• Experience with project scheduling and project management software

• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and client management abilities

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to visit job sites including rooftops, mechanical rooms, and active construction environments

• Ability to travel locally between project sites
