About the Opportunity

A nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead and grow its municipal water and wastewater practice throughout Southern California. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects while helping shape the future direction of a growing regional team.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary client contact for planning, design, and delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, while also contributing to business development, team leadership, and strategic growth initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for public-sector clients.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight to engineering staff.
  • Perform quality reviews of project deliverables and ensure successful project execution.
  • Support proposal development, interviews, and client relationship management efforts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and water resource projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal agencies and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in industry organizations and professional networking activities.

Preferred Project Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly valued:

  • Drinking water treatment and distribution systems
  • Wastewater treatment facilities
  • Pump stations and conveyance infrastructure
  • Water reuse and recycled water systems
  • Water resources and stormwater projects
  • Capital improvement programs
  • Master planning and hydraulic modeling studies

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor technical teams and coordinate multidisciplinary staff.
  • Experience working with municipal clients and public infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Project Management certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
