About the Opportunity
A nationally recognised design-build construction firm is seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee industrial and mission-critical projects across the United States.
This opportunity is ideal for a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, or similar construction professional looking to take ownership of field operations from project kickoff through final delivery. You will play a key role in driving jobsite performance, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field operations throughout all phases of construction.
- Direct subcontractors and trade partners to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project management teams during preconstruction and project planning activities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, manpower plans, and equipment requirements.
- Monitor project progress to ensure schedule, quality, and financial objectives are achieved.
- Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate site activities to maintain productivity.
- Review project documentation including purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and field reports.
- Maintain detailed daily reports covering site activities, project milestones, weather conditions, visitors, inspections, and client interactions.
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues that may impact cost, schedule, or quality.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Build positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Champion quality workmanship and continuous improvement throughout the construction process.
Requirements
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, or Senior Superintendent capacity.
- Proven experience overseeing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, mission critical, or similar construction projects.
- Willingness to travel extensively for project assignments across the United States.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, and subcontractor management.
- Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet jobsite physical requirements.
