Responsibilities
- Implementing capital automation projects using industry best practices and client business processes.
- Supporting the scope, deliverables, schedule, and project team for capital expenditure (CapEx) automation projects.
- Participating in the development and evaluation of RFPs and bidder/vendor analysis for general contracting and engineering services when the design-build method is used.
- Identifying and overseeing system integrations.
- Ensuring consultants and contractors working on automation-related projects maintain compliance with all GMP requirements (including training), EHS&S, and security requirements, including completion and review of Job Hazard Assessments and client policies.
- Coordinating/supporting engineering and automation design, commissioning, qualification, and QA Validation groups as appropriate.
- Proactively seeking and recommending improvements in site processes and procedures.
- Representing the Capital Project Automation group with strong communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Construction or Engineering related field.
- 10+ years of Automation Engineering experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV Process Control System (PCS).
- Solid understanding of GMP, GLP, and non-GMP project requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work outside core business hours occasionally on short notice.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment within a rapidly evolving business landscape.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering plans and specifications.
