Job Summary:
The Audio Visual Design Consultant is responsible for developing and implementing audio visual systems for clients in the theatrical, cultural, and educational spaces. The candidate must have strong Revit and Autocad skills and a background in designing complex AV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, design and develop audiovisual systems that meet client needs in terms of quality, efficiency, and aesthetics.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients during project development, execution and completion.
* Evaluate customer requirements and recommend the right AV solutions based on the available technology, budget, and other factors.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in AV design, installation, commissioning and documentation.
* Create detailed AV system schematics and diagrams using Revit and Autocad software.
* Prepare cost estimates and proposals for prospective clients.
* Collaborate with team members, including architects, lighting designers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of AV systems with other building systems.
* Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AV and provide technical guidance to clients.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Electrical Engineering or Information Technology.
* 5+ years of experience in designing complex AV systems.
* Proficient with Revit and Autocad software.
* Strong technical knowledge in AV systems installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with industry standards such as InfoComm, CTS, and CEDIA.
* Knowledge of digital signal processing, networking, and control systems is an added advantage.
