Job Description:
This position will work with a team of company leaders and engineers to design and model high performance and Zero Energy buildings for various nationwide clients. Our ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated individual who thrives on challenge, is obsessed with learning new things and has a technical background in architectural or engineering design.
Desired Experience:
- 0-3 years of experience
- Experience in MEP Design
- This position will be responsible for modeling various systems and evaluating all aspects of building performance. Mastery of many different software programs will be required to help inform design and promote building science leadership. This influential company position will also involve training others and managing knowledge sharing opportunities within and between all 12 offices. Additional duties of the position are as follows:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated response
- Attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed
- Provide guidance to staff engineers as to the appropriate energy efficient designs to be implemented in various projects
- Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Confer with other engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information
- Research and evaluate software, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, apply knowledge of engineering
